Structural Engineer (PE Licensed):
LVI Associates have partnered with a Structural Engineering firm based in San Francisco. They are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field and 6-10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license, demonstrating expertise in structural analysis, design, and project management for various types of infrastructure and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and/or other infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methods.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents compliant with applicable codes and regulations (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural elements into overall project designs.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate existing structures or verify construction progress and adherence to design specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction, including addressing RFIs, submittal reviews, and resolving on-site issues.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and changes in building codes and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a structural focus), or a related field.
- 6-10 years of professional experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice (or ability to obtain licensure within six months).
- Proficiency in structural design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit.
- Strong knowledge of structural materials, including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Experience with seismic and wind load analysis per local and international standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and client interaction.
